The call for Abstracts is now open!
The ABC Scientific Competition allows students to experience the world of research up-close.
As such, and with the spirit of encouraging and recognising achievements in scientific research, we encourage students to send us their abstracts in our five main subjects – Aquatic Sciences, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Medicine and Veterinary Medicine.
If your work is among the best, you will have the chance to present your research results to more than five hundred students and teachers while competing for monetary prizes!
And if your abstract is one of the 20 best, you will have a guaranteed entry to the VIII AEICBAS Biomedical Congress and a discount in the congress fee!
How Does It Work?
The abstract should be submitted with the following information:
1. Name of the candidate
2. Area of study and Faculty
3. Email and phone number of the candidate
4. Abstract (PDF Format)
The abstracts will be reviewed by the jury members. The candidates will be notified of the selection until the 3rd of February stating if their abstract was accepted for the Poster Presentation or the Scientific Oral Session.
2. Scientific Oral Presentations
The three abstracts with the highest score are automatically selected to the Scientific Oral Presentation to present their work at the Pentagon Sessions, on the 13th of March 2020!
All of the 3 Scientific Oral Session Presentations will be awarded a prize according to Jury’s decision at the Scientific Oral Session.
3. Poster Presentations
The other 17 selected abstracts will present their work in the Poster Presentation that will be held in the afternoon of the 12th of March 2020!
You will present your poster to a jury composed of researchers and teachers of scientific excellence and of various backgrounds, from our Scientific Commission.
Presenting students have to submit a digital file of the Poster in PDF format before 23:59h of the 6th of March and should hand in their printed work until 17:00h (GMT+0:00), 11th of March, at AEICBAS’ office.
The top 3 Posters will be awarded a prize, according to the Jury’s evaluation (1st, 2nd or 3rd place).
